BACKGROUND:
Over the past twenty years, Mr. Slosberg has provided comprehensive energy efficiency, energy procurement, distributed generation, and energy management evaluation, assessment, and implementation consulting services. Mr. Slosberg has completed over one hundred comprehensive energy efficiency and technology assessment projects. He has been a principal consultant on forty energy savings performance contracts providing services such as RFP development, measurement and verification, savings guarantee review, contract negotiation, and technical review. Mr. Slosberg has provided training presentations on numerous topics including energy performance contracts and the utilization of life-cycle costs methods.
Program Evaluation. Principal investigator on over fifteen program evaluations for lighting, HVAC, motor/VSD, energy management, and custom measures. Evaluated impacts resulting from installations at over 2000 facilities using analytical methods, supported by metering and load research data.
Energy Project Implementation Support. Mr. Slosberg was directly responsible for customer advocacy consulting and support initiatives for over forty customers, encompassing $200 million of retrofit activity, to develop and procure performance contracting services. Support includes project development, RFP preparation, proposal review, energy savings assessment, contract negotiation, measurement and verification development, and commissioning oversight.
Energy Auditing/Technology Evaluation. Project Manager and Principal Investigator supporting the development and evaluation of advanced energy efficiency technologies for the commercial and industrial marketplace. Assessed technical and economic potential of new technologies compared to competing/existing equipment. Analyzed existing market infrastructure to develop long range potential for technology acceptance into the marketplace.
Design Assistance. Mr. Slosberg provides energy consulting and technical assistance in the design and development of new, energy efficient buildings. Services include support to projects that are seeking LEED certification, and identification of potential energy conservation and load management opportunities. He has completed the analysis of measures and prepared estimates of installation costs, and evaluated cost/benefit of opportunities.
C/I Performance Program. Program Manager and Principal Investigator supporting the roll-out and final development of the NYSERDA C/I Performance Program. Developed sample measurement and verification procedures and protocols. Management of technical assistance provided to program participants including review and evaluation of applications, savings projections, M&V plans, installation procedures, and savings verification reports. Responsible for providing technical assistance to over 300 program participants.
