BACKGROUND:
Experienced in performing and directing energy audits and surveys of multifamily, commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. Over the past 8 years, Mr. Guctas performed over 400 multifamily residential, commercial, institutional, municipal, and light industrial energy audits, analyzed building energy consumption characteristics, and provided technical assistance to such facilities in implementing energy efficiency measures. Mr. Guctas has designed over 45 steam heating plants. He also performed energy audits and building analysis for various utility energy conservation and load management programs, low income weatherization programs and for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
Mr. Guctas provided training in multifamily residential and commercial energy auditing, post audit evaluation of potential energy efficiency opportunities, utility analysis, and computer modeling.
Multifamily Building Services. Managed over thirty-five multifamily energy conservation projects. Responsible for field survey, data collection and analysis of energy efficiency opportunities. Services have been provided to existing facilities across New York State. Clients include Columbia University Housing, Chelsea Ridge, Tompkins Terrace, Kennedy House, New York City Housing Authority, Kingston Housing Authority, and Monticello Housing Authority.
Weatherization Assistance Program. Performed detailed energy audits and life cycle cost analysis for Department of Housing and Community Renewal Weatherization Assistance Program. Over 105 audits have been completed between 2004 and 2007. Designed over 45 steam heating plants, including specifications and post inspection of new heating plants to verify compliance with suggested design requirements.
Commercial/Industrial Energy Audits. Provided energy audits to small commercial buildings in metropolitan urban, suburban and rural areas. Over 242 audits have been completed between 2007 and 2009. Responsibilities included walk-through audits, utility analysis, spreadsheet analysis of potential energy conservation measures, report preparation, post-audit technical follow-up, and maintenance of state database for audit clients. Recently completed energy audit and feasibility assessment for City of Poughkeepsie for implementation of a city-wide energy efficiency project.
US Department of Veterans Affairs. Performed energy audits for Nashville Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Louisville Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Louisville Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, and Tennessee South Madison National Cemetery.
