BACKGROUND:
Experienced in performing energy audits and surveys of residential, commercial, industrial and institutional buildings. Has performed energy analysis using spreadsheets, DOE-2, and eQUEST computer program. Experienced with industrial process controls. Worked as a Test Systems Engineer at Pratt and Whitney of UTC prior to receiving his BS degree.
FlexTech Program. Performed energy audits on numerous commercial and industrial facilities. These have included work on large office buildings and industrial facilities such as NTI Global.
Energy Audit Service. Performs energy audits on small commercial and industrial facilities under the NYSERDA energy audit service in Region 3. This includes walk-through audits, report preparation and spreadsheet analysis.
Existing Facilities Program. Provided technical assistance, energy savings analysis, onsite inspections and report verification for NYSERDA's Commercial Industrial Performance Program.
New Construction Program. Provides energy analysis for NYSERDA's New Construction Program. Services include ECM analysis using spreadsheets and whole building modeling using the DOE-2 or eQUEST computer program. This includes preparation of the report, forms and NYSERDA whole building template. Projects have included Rockland Community College New Technology Building, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute EMPAC center, Battery Park City Site 3 multifamily building and SUNY Albany Nano Fab Extension.
Multifamily Building Performance Program. Developed whole building energy models for multifamily buildings using eQuest modeling software. Provided energy analysis and identified energy conservation measures. Projects have included Waterfront Place at the Pasquale and The United Building.
Green Building Services. Provided energy consulting for LEED NC certification associated with Energy and Atmosphere Credit 1: Optimize Energy Performance. Developed whole building simulation using eQUEST and submitted detailed technical template forms to USGBC for certification. Projects include American Embassy - Panama City, Panama (2nd U.S. embassy to earn LEED certification), New Headquarters for the Barton Group (LEED Platinum), The College of St. Rose - Massry Center for the Arts (LEED Gold), Golub Corporate Headquarters - Price Chopper (LEED Gold) and Kingston City School District - Carnegie Learning Center (LEED Silver).
